San Marcos Creek District
The City of San Marcos has been working on making a downtown area, complete with shops, restaurants, and homes for many years- actually decades. Finally within the past 2 years great headway has been made on this wonderful addition to San Marcos which not only provides a wonderful meeting and shopping place for all North San Diego, but also solves a huge problem of containing a creek that floods whenever it rains, causing many nightmares like we had in the last post. The best explanation and overview of the project that I’ve seen was given by our own San Marcos Mayor, Jim Desmond.
