Galleta Meadows in Anza Borrego Desert

Galleta Meadows

Took a day trip out to Borrego Springs in the Anza Borrego Desert to see the gigantic menagerie of prehistoric animals that rise out of the desert floor.  Located on a huge privately owned estate called Galleta Meadows on the outskirts of Borrego Springs, these GIANT extinct Sabertoothed Tigers, Woolly Mammoths, Desert Tortoises, Wild Horses, Camels, Sloths, and Elephants magically appear as you are driving down the road.  Dirt roads lead cars right to the statues where you can wander around looking closely at the metal sculptures.  It is magical and a surreal surprise to your visit.  Join me on my video tour of the statues.

I’m seeing signs too!

by Jacque on April 28, 2010

I’m seeing signs of life in the Real Estate market!

I’m definitely seeing signs of recovery in the Real Estate market.  More homes on the market listed at higher prices and getting them!  It’s just a feeling but more buyers are calling and more sellers are selling for higher prices.  Not just in North San Diego but southwest Riverside County too.  Don’t think we will do a U shaped recovery though.  More like a W with some ups and downs before heading right back up.  Those who hung on may get their just rewards yet!

What are Mello Roos?

April 23, 2010

What are Mello Roos?
In a nutshell, they are the costs of the roads, sewer system, and other infrastructure needed to build new neighborhoods. Instead of passing the costs onto the 1st homebuyer in the form of purchase price, they are spread out over a period of time, usually 25-35 years and appear on the property [...]

How Not to Sell Your Home

April 13, 2010

How Not to Sell Your Home in North San Diego!
1.  Hiring a Realtor that no other Realtors want to do business with!  This is one most sellers don’t even consider.  Buyer’s agents know who the “good” listing agents are and who’s listings they don’t want to show because they know that paperwork won’t be handled timely or properly, ethics and [...]
