Bressi Ranch Master Planned Community

An example of the “new urbanism” in Southern California is Bressi Ranch. Located in Carlsbad, CA 92009, this modern community was built in the past several years and still has some homes under construction.  The concept is a village core at the center with small shops, restaurants, and grocery stores. The walkable community is surrounded by walking trails, open space areas, children’s play areas, residences, schools, and office complexes.

This modern way of creating communities that enhances connectivity, shared spaces, mixed uses, and renewable resources is the new rage in master planned communities in Southern California. Bressi Ranch is all of this.  Homes in Bressi Ranch reflect a diversity of exterior architecture which is pleasing.  McMansions dot some areas with large homes on  small lots with open spaces nearby for children to play, residents to gather, and trails leading to schools and shopping, thereby reducing the need for automobile traffic.  Roundabouts dot the neighborhoods, community facilities and amenities are prevalent, and social events and activities are becoming traditions.  There is much to see and do for all age groups.
